1978-1981 Co-founder consultancy Metal & Corrosion Engineering BV

1981-2016 Billiton & Shell: Commercial functions in Billiton (Metals 1981-1983) and Shell - oil and natural gas, 1983-2016 - with postings in The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Sweden, China and South-Korea. Functions included New Business Development, LNG, Country Chair (South-Korea) and Government Relations (Netherlands).  

2017 -2023 Chair of H2 Platform, a partnership between about 50 companies/ organizations involved in Hydrogen and the Ministries of Infrastructure and Economic Affairs & Climate. The H2 Platform facilitated development of joint vision, policies, publicity and cooperation between government and industry. The H2Platform connects parties. Early 2023, the H2 Platform was succeeded by the industry association NLHydrogen (www.NLHydrogen.nl)
